Condition before treatment: The paper support contains groundwood, and is brittle. Central horizontal fold and small edge creases, tears and losses. Surface dirt on reverse.

Treatment: The reverse was surface cleaned. Tears mended and creases reinforced with Japanese paper and wheat starch paste. Losses filled with paper inserts and toned as necessary.
