Condition before treatment: Very disfiguring matburn. Some fading in the area exposed by the window mat

Treatment: Humidified, and the matburn treated with a variety of bleaches applied as ultrasonic mists. Bleaches rinsed, neutralized and rinsed again on the suction table. The sharp line between the faded and unfaded areas at the edge of the watercolor was softened with the sparing application of watercolor.
